Poncho No 8 opened in Spitalfields six months ago and if we're being honest the burritos weren't really happening initially but gradual improvements and the arrival of a new Mexican chef have resulted in really great burrito and a packed shop at lunch. There's no more weird soggy peppers or collapsing wraps and most importantly you get a very generous helping of chicken which is much thicker sliced than normal so it doesn't dry out on the grill.
It's still not the fastest counter in the world but the £5 chicken fajita is now in the Daddy Donkey league and is well worth the wait outside.Poncho No8, 5 Steward Street, E1
