No cheese at Adagio

Cheese and pizza were apparently first combined in 1889 and for some people this was a bad move as cheese isn't the healthiest ingredient and can get in the way of the pizza bread, sauce and more interesting toppings. So the review of Soho's Adagio Pizza asked if they could try a "a little less cheese" and when passing by this week, one row of pizza covered with ham, rocket, mushrooms and no cheese sat nearest the window and looked worth a try and it was fabulous.

strada_mid_foodTheir pizza bread was always great but when freed from cheese tyranny the flavour of the sauce and toppings was unleashed and the quantity of ham defied all known laws of pizza physics and economics.

A big slice for £3.60 had more ham than some places (like the one on the right from Strada) might use on 6 pizzas which cost £9 each. This may just be a teaser to pull in customers who might buy other pizzas as well but that doesn't distract from the wonder of this slice.
