The takeaway box and wooden cutlery may not do any visual favours for a strawberry, blackberry and blueberry crepe from Raymond Blanc's new Creperie Blanc in Covent Garden but that didn't stop it being very nice, light, refreshing and fair for £4.25. Chefs looked like they know their business, the menu has sweet, savoury and make your own options, and all toppings are available as a waffle. If it's not raining then you can dine outside with the tourists on the piazza and admire the glass roof of the also new Brasserie Blanc restaurant & bar, which sits above on the market place roof. The creperie bar is probably just a one off but another in the City could work, Spitalfields Market perhaps.
