Sausage & Mash have closed their restaurant in Leadenhall Market and sadly taken their big Carry On pictures with them. With Mother Mash serving much the same food just a short distance away, there probably wasn't a need for both and so Tortilla will be replacing sausages with burritos in what will be their fifth outlet. Once the extensive refurbishment is completed, there will be seating for 110 diners and more space outside on the pavement.

All Bar One hasn't done much for a long time, in fact it's a decade since their last opening, but the Mitchells & Butlers chain are now expanding again with a new wine bar at the top of Bishopsgate which replaces the dated Sir Paul Pinder pub that didn't look at home amongst the smart City offices. They should open on 13th September with some subtle changes to the brand design and food menu.

Ceena is a 'sizzling Korean barbecue' that will be opening just off Fleet Street where K10 used to have a Japanese takeaway. They didn't manage to meet their August launch date but the sound of drills can be heard from inside so it shouldn't be too long before they're ready to go and a Korean barbecue will be quite a radical new option for the area.

Apparently..... Gordon Ramsay AND David Beckham's (!) new place at One New Change is going to be called Ramsay's Bar & Grill and should open in October. The rather safe sounding name does fit with talk of a concept that could be rolled out across the city and would suggest that it's not going to be too expensive. Some say it will be located in the rooftop cafe-restaurant space while some predict a ground and first floor unit. An official announcement would help.
